The 12th SCANCYPAA convention was originally meant to be arranged at HIlton Kalastajatorpaa, but after difficulties the plans changed. Unlike originally planned, the convention will be held at the Rudolf Steiner school in Ruskeasuo, Helsinki. The school is little and pretty, and will for sure bring up some memories for some of us. The school has a big lobby, a small café, several classrooms for our use and a bigger gym hall for the main meetings. Unfortunately, the venue is not accessible, as there are some stairs to the classrooms and the gym hall.
Ruskeasuo area is a calm residential area, and it takes about 15 minutes to arrive from city center. It is next to the Helsinki central park, where you can find forest or horse stables.
The best way to arrive to the school is to take tram no 10, or bus no 40, 200, or 300 from the Helsinki city centre. Get off at stop 'Tilkka', and walk for 5-10 minutes.
